10 Feng Shui Taboos That May Block Wealth in Your Home

For those who believe in home Feng Shui, choosing a house that follows Feng Shui principles is believed to enhance the home’s energy and create a peaceful, harmonious living environment for everyone in the family. However, if certain areas of the house do not comply with Feng Shui principles, it is believed that negative influences may arise or good fortune may slip away. Ultimately, home Feng Shui is a matter of personal belief.

1. บ้านทึบ

1. Poor ventilation, an enclosed living space, and doors and windows that are too small compared with the size of the house. A good home should allow air and energy to circulate freely throughout the house. If a house remains closed all the time or certain rooms receive little or no natural light, it is believed to lack vital energy. Poor ventilation can also encourage the growth of germs and make family members more susceptible to illness. This can be improved by opening the house regularly to allow fresh air to circulate. Inviting friends or relatives over, or letting children run and play around the house, is also believed to bring fresh energy into the home and help revitalize its living energy.

2. บ้านรก

2. Clutter blocking the entrance of the house and objects placed in front that prevent positive energy from entering make it difficult for good fortune to enter the home. Likewise, excessive clutter inside the house can obstruct the circulation of energy, causing the flow within the home to become stagnant. As a result, good fortune is unable to function properly because everything remains blocked. It is recommended to keep the house clean and tidy, and regularly dispose of items that are no longer needed.

3. บ้านต่ำกว่าถนน

3. A house that is built much higher or much lower than the road may cause wealth and good fortune to flow out of the home, making it difficult to save money and leading to frequent financial losses. If a house is built significantly higher than the road, it is believed that wealth and good fortune can easily flow out, making it difficult to accumulate money and increasing the likelihood of unexpected financial losses. On the other hand, a house that is much lower than the road is believed to trap energy, allowing it to enter but preventing it from flowing out, which is also considered unfavorable in Feng Shui. Ideally, the floor level of a house should not be more than about half a foot higher or lower than the road. This allows energy to circulate more smoothly. Designing the ground in front of the house as a shallow basin can also help retain and circulate energy. If the house is higher than the road and the front yard slopes toward the street, it is recommended to create a slightly raised barrier near the front of the property to help prevent wealth and good fortune from flowing away too easily.

4. บ้านมีหน้าต่างเยอะ

4. Having too many doors or windows and making the house feel overly open can prevent the house from retaining energy. As a result, good fortune may come but not stay. To improve this, identify the favorable directions of the house and the favorable directions for the year. Open the favorable directions to receive energy, and keep the unfavorable directions closed to prevent energy from flowing into the house.

5. บ้านประตูตรงกัน

5. When the front and back doors or windows are directly aligned, especially when the two doors face each other, it is believed that money comes in and quickly flows back out. This can be improved by placing a screen or partition between them so they no longer face each other directly. In addition, the front door should not face the bathroom door. If two bedroom doors directly face each other, Feng Shui believes that incompatible personal fortunes may lead to frequent arguments between the occupants. If the rooms are occupied by a man and a woman, it may also increase the risk of romantic complications. However, if their fortunes are compatible, their relationship may become even stronger.

6.บ้านที่ไม่มีรั้ว

6. A house with an open-style fence and no area around it to retain energy, while the front fence should remain open, is believed to have difficulty retaining energy. The other sides of the fence should be more enclosed. If they are too open, planting a row of trees can also help create a better balance.

7.บันไดตรงกับประตูบ้าน

7. When a staircase faces the front door, energy is believed to flow straight out of the house, leading to frequent financial losses. This can be improved by placing furniture or a screen between the staircase and the front door. A fountain or an aquarium may also help improve the flow of energy.

8. บ้านตั้งอยู่ในที่รกร้าง 2

8. A house located in an environment that lacks vitality, especially one that appears abandoned or neglected, is considered unfavorable. If the surrounding area has large, gloomy trees or vegetation that fails to grow well, it is believed that the environment lacks vitality. As a result, the house may also lack vitality, making it difficult for the occupants to prosper and, according to Feng Shui beliefs, increasing the risk of unexpected death. To improve this, keep the area around the house clean, pleasant, and green to help restore vitality.

9.บ้านที่อยู่ในสภาพแวดล้อมไม่ดี

9. An environment filled with garbage, weapons, or violent artwork is believed to have a negative impact on the people living in the house. Removing these unfavorable items from the home is also believed to remove negative energy. In addition, polluted water, foul odors, dampness, and unclean surroundings are believed to attract misfortune into the home. According to Feng Shui beliefs, such an environment may lead to relationship problems, illness, troubles at work, involvement with unlawful matters, and even when wealth comes, it may be accompanied by conflict and damage to one’s reputation and life.

10.บ้านใต้ทางด่วน

10. A house that is too close to an elevated railway, located beneath an expressway, bridge, or elevated road, or situated next to an excessively tall or massive structure is considered unfavorable. Power poles, billboards, or sharp corners of buildings pointing directly toward the front door are also regarded as inauspicious in Feng Shui. This situation is commonly seen in urban areas, especially along elevated railway lines. According to Feng Shui beliefs, such a house may have difficulty attracting energy because the structures in front obstruct its flow. It may not be ideal for either business or residential use. In addition, heavy traffic passing close to the house may cause stress, anxiety, excessive worry, and emotional discomfort for the occupants. To improve the Feng Shui, brighter lighting can be added to enhance vitality. If possible, making use of the space above the bridge or road, or increasing the distance between the house and the road, may also help. In some cases, fountains or waterfalls are also believed to improve the circulation of energy.
