On November 4, 2023 (Saturday), corresponding to the 6th waning moon of the 11th lunar month, Year of the Rabbit, a joint Kathina robe offering ceremony was held at Wat Surin Tharawat, Mueang Surin District, Surin Province. Pol. Col. Sukon Sriarun, Acting Commander of Surin Provincial Police, together with his delegation, represented Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukvimol, Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, in participating in the Kathina ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Phra Thepwachirayanasophon (Yuen Khanthipalo), the Supreme Patriarch of Surin Province (Dhammayut Order), as the monastic chairman, while Mr. Phichit Boonthan, Governor of Surin Province, served as the presiding lay chairman. In addition, the Kathina robe, ceremonial requisites, and monetary offerings were jointly presented on behalf of Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukvimol, Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, together with Pol. Lt. Gen. Somprasong Yenthuam (Acting Deputy Commissioner of Provincial Police Region 2), Pol. Maj. Gen. Thakoon Nanthisri (Acting Commander of Provincial Police Region 3), and Pol. Col. Sukon Sriarun (Acting Commander of Surin Provincial Police). The group collectively contributed to the Kathina merit-making with a total donation of THB 198,370.
