Joined by Major General Chatchapantakan Klaiklueng (Cyber Crime Investigation Commander Jae), they visited prominent temples across Thailand to present Lent candles and lotus phan trays, preserving cherished traditions and cultivating wholesome merit on this sacred Buddhist day.
What is Wan Khao Phansa (Buddhist Lent)?
According to monastic discipline (Vinaya), Wan Khao Phansa (Buddhist Lent) marks the beginning of a three-month rainy-season retreat where monks remain residing within a single monastery. Historically, this prevented monks from traveling during the monsoon season and inadvertently stepping on growing crops or damaging villagers’ livelihoods.
Today, Buddhist Lent remains a cherished tradition where Buddhists gather at temples to make merit, offer monastic necessities (Sanghadana), listen to Dhamma sermons, observe precepts, and present traditional Lent candles.
Beyond merit-making, many laypeople take this auspicious opportunity to practice wholesome deeds, abstain from vices, or engage in spiritual practice throughout the three-month period to cultivate mindfulness and self-improvement.

On the auspicious occasion of Vassa (Buddhist Lent), Lawyer Arm (Supasit Siri), founder of ARM’S ARMOR, accompanied by Major General Chatpunthakarn Klaiklueng (Cyber Crime Investigation Commander Jae), visited Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai, a revered Royal Temple located in Samut Prakan Province.
Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai is a historic royal monastery home to Luang Pho To, a highly sacred Buddha image deeply worshiped by the Thai people.
On this blessed day, the delegation presented Lent candles and lotus phan trays to Phra Thep Samut Watcharacharn, the Abbot of Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai and Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor of Samut Prakan.
Following the offering ceremony, the group received sacred blessings and was sprinkled with holy water to invoke good fortune, marking the beginning of the Buddhist Lent period filled with joy, spiritual fulfillment, and the uplifting power of faith.

After completing the ceremony in Samut Prakan Province, Lawyer Arm and his delegation traveled onward to Wat Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan in Bangkok.
Wat Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan is a royal temple of great historical significance and a spiritual sanctuary for numerous Buddhists.
On this occasion, the group presented Lent candles and lotus phan trays to Phra Dhammavachiramethi (Chao Khun Meechai), the Abbot of Wat Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan.
As this auspicious opportunity coincided with Chao Khun Meechai’s birthday, it was a truly blessed event. All attendees gathered to pay their respects, receive blessings, and joyfully participate in merit-making with deep reverence and appreciation.
